Co-op class projects nearly done

I wanted to show you all the projects I have completed so far for my co-op class. I'm getting excited because I think the girls will enjoy making all of these. I have 4 completed so far, and I will probably do 3 more.

This first one I am so proud of. It's sortof inspired by the little ballerina box I completed a while ago. I found these boxes at Hobby Lobby that already had the fronts cut out - hey, that makes it easy! Then I covered it with paper, found a twig from outside and hot glued it inside my box. Then I punched out 2 butterflies, glittered them, and glued them on the twig. I also picked up some wooden legs at Hobby Lobby and painted and polka dotted them for added whimsy. The box is small, probably a 3" x 3", although I didn't measure it exactly. Perfect size for little girls. I always show Rachel my projects to see her reaction because if she likes it, then I'm pretty sure the other girls will. When I showed it to Rachel, her eyes lit up and she said "that is soooo cute!"

Ok, this next one is a Tic Tac Toe game that I found here. First, I covered an altoid tin inside and out. BJ's had them in bulk and so they came out to be a little more than a dollar each. I added some stickers I had in my sticker box and made the tic tac toe pieces out of punches. The game pieces are stored inside the tin. They are going to LOVE it!

Next project is an altered notebook. This is an easy project for them to do. Again, the composition book couldn't be more than a dollar or 2, the paper another dollar or 2, plus the ribbon and the chipboard letters. My biggest expense on this one would be the chipboard letters. I would have to purchase several packs unless I can find them cheaper but I haven't seen any I like better than these glittered ones.

The last one I have completed is the pennant banner with their initial and a crystal drop. I found these crystal drops in the dollar bin at Michaels one day and bought up several. I hope I bought enough for everyone in the class. I haven't tried to find them in my craft closet yet. If I find something I like in the $1 bin, I always buy lots. You never know what you might do with it.

We visited Grandma this morning at the hospital and then again in the afternoon. She sounded worse - she is rattling in her chest really bad. I'm hoping it's just that it gets worse before it gets better. They think it's because when she tries to swallow her food, that it gets in her lungs. They are going to put in a feeding tube. While I was there she started to cough and then couldn't get her breath and I saw the look of fear in her eyes like I have never seen and I ran in the hallway to get a nurse to come quickly. By then she had caught her breath but they did an oxygen test and it was about 86% so they gave her an oxygen treatment. I hope and pray that she will recover from this. She is in pretty bad condition. Two nurses and the dietician called us today about her and so we feel really confident that they are taking good care of her, but we need to stay with her as much as we can right now.

May I be in your co-op? :o) The girls will be so excited to make such adorable crafts.
I am continuing to pray for your grandma. I am so glad that she is receiving good care in the hospital. It will make all the difference in her recovery.
